Brush Lake

Fish: smallmouth bass
Cottages: Yes

Brush Lake is a small lake at the very tip of Lake Joseph, in the heart of Muskoka cottage country. You can get to if by turning east off of Route 69 on to Clear Lake Road. Go past Clear Lake and go through Port Cockburn heading north. There are two small service roads that access the west and south sides of the lake. Or get to Brush Lake from Route 141 by turning south at Humphrey on to Clear Lake Road.

There are cottages around the lake and a small population of smallmouth bass for fishing. This is also a popular starting point in the winter months for snowmobiling. Trails head east and south to Lake Rosseau. This is a nice little lake tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the bigger lakes if you are a cottager.

Our Lake Ontario list is growing and our goal is to strive to give the most comprehensive list available. If there is a particular lake we missed or you think deserves mention, please Contact Us. We'd love to hear from you.
