Echo Lake is just to the east of Lake of Bays. It’s a good size lake with a smallmouth bass population to keep the fishermen happy. Its also a great cottage lake and its accessible from a couple directions. From Route 51 (Echo Lake Road) there are two gravel roads to choose from at the south tip of the lake. Either one takes you up along the west or eash waterfront. Or turn off of Route 117 to Winders Bay Road and access the northwest end of the lake.
