Fish: lake trout, rainbow trout
Pine Lake is a remote lake just at the western edge of Bigwind Lake Provincial Park. It is in the Muskoka River area – just east of the river. Its accessed from Route 14, east of Bracebridge. When you get to the Kampakwakog Rioverturen east and it takes you to several gravel roads that run south along both sides of the Pine Lake. There are cottages around the lake and the fishing has historically been good for lake trout however conservation concerns have meant that Pine Lake is part of a sanctuary to help protect the lake trout population.
Our Lake Ontario list is growing and our goal is to strive to give the most comprehensive list available. If there is a particular lake we missed or you think deserves mention, please Contact Us. We'd love to hear from you.
