Three Mile Lake

Fish: smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, walleye
Cottages: Yes

Three Mile lake is a fairly large lake which is another popular cottage lake with cottages scattered around its waterfront as there are numerous access roads of of Route 4, Route 24, Shore Road, Shea Road and Three Mile Lake Road. There is a nice beach at the north end of Hammell’s Bay called Echo Beach, perhaps its the namesake for the 80′s new wave hit by Martha and The Muffins. There is a picnic area at the west end of the lake at Route 24 and Shore Road. There are also campsites on the north shore near Inverness Lodge and on the south east side of the lake of of Route 4 past Shea Road. In the winter time when the ice is solid snowmobilers ride from Green Bay to Hammell’s Bay. Fishing is average. There are some walleye and bass.

Our Lake Ontario list is growing and our goal is to strive to give the most comprehensive list available. If there is a particular lake we missed or you think deserves mention, please Contact Us. We'd love to hear from you.
