Wood Lake

Fish: smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, walleye
Cottages: Yes

Wood Lake is large lake found in the Muskoka River area, east of Bracebridge along Route 118 (Tretheway Falls Road). There are several secondary roads to get around the lake. Try Milne Road just before Lakewood or three other roads off of Route 118 to access the south side. If you continue along Route 118 turn north on Bird Lake Road and then access the north east side of Wood Lake via Bo Bay Road. The size and accessiblity makes Wood Lake a very popular cottage lake for the summer. Its one of the larger lakes in the Muskoka River area. Fishing is reasonable for bass but there is significant pressure on the lake.

Our Lake Ontario list is growing and our goal is to strive to give the most comprehensive list available. If there is a particular lake we missed or you think deserves mention, please Contact Us. We'd love to hear from you.
