Bigwind Lake Provincial Park

Bigwind Provincial park covers about 1970 hectares just east of Bracebridge and is accessible by either Fraserburg Road (Route 14) or Route 118 and take Bird Lake road, Black River road to Old Wagon road.

It’s a beautiful part of Muskoka and has numerous lakes including Bigwind lake, Crosson lake, Gullfeather lake and Keyhole lake. It’s a day use only park with no camping sites but it’s great for paddling and fishing. It’s also great for just getting out and seeing a more remote part of the Muskoka lakes area.

Depending on the time of year there is always a good chance of spotting some of the local wildlife which includes bear, moose and deer. The boreal forest is thick and includes pine, hemlock and maple.

Our Muskoka Park Maps list is growing, and our goal is to strive to give the most comprehensive list available. If there is a particular Muskoka Park we missed or you think deserves mention, please Contact Us. We'd love to hear from you.
