Dividing Lake Provincial Nature Reserve Park

Dividing Lake Provincial Nature Reserve park is a small tract of land set aside to protect one of the most majestic stands of Old growth White Pine in Ontario. But the park is very remote. It is along the southwestern border of Algonuin Park and northwest of Dorset and Lake of Bays.

The only way into Dividing Lake is by canoe from Rockaway Lake. Get to Rockaway lake via Route 12 from Dorset. Then take Bear Lake Road to Kimball Lake. From there paddle to the north end of the lake and begin a long difficult portage of 2.7 km to the south end of Rockaway Lake. The park is at the other end of Rockaway lake.

Camping is very rustic but this is beautiful back country and is the transition zone from Muskoka to Haliburton to Algonquin Park.

Our Muskoka Park Maps list is growing, and our goal is to strive to give the most comprehensive list available. If there is a particular Muskoka Park we missed or you think deserves mention, please Contact Us. We'd love to hear from you.
