Loon Lake Wetland Conservation Reserve

Loon Lake Wetland Conservation area is just to the south of Torrance Barrens and is situated between Loon Lake, North Muldrew Lake and Pine Lake to the north. This is ecologically sensitive area is home to over three hundred different plants now protected by the existence of this conservation area.

There are no facilites around Loon Lake as this is primarily intended to be a nature viewing area. However there are some roads (Old Stone Road Trail) that you can ride a bike on or hike through. Access to the conservation area can be gained from Hwy 169 west of Gravenhurst to Loon Lake Road. Or from the town of Torrance to the north along Hwy 169 take Route 13 Southwood Road to Old Stone Road.
