Massasauga Provincial Park

Massasauga Provincial Park is a huge wilderness area covering 12,000 hectares of quintessential Muskoka back country and lakes. It is situated just south of Parry Sound and extends along the Georgian Bay coastline to the mouth of Moon River. It is the home of the endangered Massasauga Rattle snake, which won’t bother you unless you bother it.

You can access the park by boat as it is primarily a coastal park or via Healey Lake Road from Hwy 400, or from Hwy 69 take Oastler Park Road to Blue Lake Road to Three Legged Lake Road where there is a boat launch and access to Three Legged Lake.

Massasauga Provincial Park is a great place to experience the real natural side of Muskoka. The park has over 130 rustic campsites and with the numerous lakes you can have a wonderful back country paddling and camping experience on par with an Algonquin park experience.

Our Muskoka Park Maps list is growing, and our goal is to strive to give the most comprehensive list available. If there is a particular Muskoka Park we missed or you think deserves mention, please Contact Us. We'd love to hear from you.
