Severn River Conservation Reserve

The Severn River Conservation Reserve occupies a large swath of pristine Muskoka back country north of the Severn River up to almost Route 38. It covers wetlands, forest, many lakes and impressive rocky barrens. It is a completely undeveloped area of Muskoka and the interior sections are best accessed by snowmobile during the winter months along the numberous interior trails.

There are also some rustic camping sites along the shores of some of the lakes and also some good hiking opportunities. Most of the activity and traffic is found along the southern border of the reserve on the Severn River that provides access to Georgian Bay from Lake Ontario.

No direct public road access. Water access from the Severn River or water access from Nine Mile Lake Road.

Our Muskoka Park Maps list is growing, and our goal is to strive to give the most comprehensive list available. If there is a particular Muskoka Park we missed or you think deserves mention, please Contact Us. We'd love to hear from you.
